Mr. Vijay Ravindra Kirloskar holds a Master's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA. He began his career with the Kirloskar Group in 1978 as Manager-Production and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming President in 1982 and Managing Director in 1985. Mr. Vijay Ravindra Kirloskar served as the Chairman of the Kirloskar Group from 1994 to 1998, overseeing significant growth. He has also held prominent industry roles, including Vice President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in 1998. His extensive experience and leadership have been crucial in driving the Company's overall operations and fostering key business opportunities, such as securing new customers, new technology agreements and significant order booking.
As the promoter and experienced senior managerial personnel of the Company, Mr. Vijay Ravindra Kirloskar plays a central role in its strategic direction. He is a member of the Stakeholders Relationship and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees. Mr. Vijay R Kirloskar has served as Executive Chairman since his initial appointment on August 12, 2014 for a three-year term, followed by subsequent reappointments every three years.
Mrs. Meena Kirloskar has graduated from Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology in 1975 and brings over two decades of experience in the field of business management. She is the spouse of Mr. Vijay Ravindra Kirloskar, the Executive Chairman of Kirloskar Electric. She has been contributing to the Company's governance and strategic direction since 2009. Her role as a Non-Executive & Non-Independent Director highlights her continued involvement in the Company's leadership. In addition to her directorial role, Mrs. Meena Kirloskar is actively engaged in the Company's Committees, serving as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee. She is also the Chairperson of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, further demonstrating her commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and the Company's overall success.
Mrs. Meena Kirloskar is also the Chairperson and Managing Director of Ravindu Motors Private Limited (operating as Ravindu Toyota), a successful franchisee for Toyota Kirloskar Motors since January 2000. Under her leadership, Ravindu Toyota has grown into a significant dealership in Bangalore with multiple showrooms.
Dr. Ashok Misra is a distinguished academic and industry leader and has held prominent positions, including Chairman-India of Intellectual Ventures (2008-16) and Director of IIT Bombay (2000-08). With a B. Tech from IIT Kanpur, an M.S. from Tufts University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, he has made significant contributions to academia and research. Dr. Ashok Misra has also held key roles with MHRD, Government of India, including Chairman of the IIT Council's Standing Committee and the Joint Entrance Examination Apex Board.
Dr. Ashok Misra is a Fellow of NASI and INAE and has received numerous awards such as the Indian Chemical Council Lifetime Achievement Award and Distinguished Service Awards from IIT Delhi and his alma maters. He has guided 22 doctoral students, co-authored a book, holds 16 patents, and has over 182 international publications. He is also a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit committee.
Mr. Suresh Kumar is a seasoned hospitality professional with over four decades of experience in the industry. He holds an Advanced Management Programme degree from Bond University, Australia, and a Science degree from Delhi University. Starting his career as a Management Trainee at ITC Hotels Ltd. in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become VP of Operations and later Managing Director of Fortune Park Hotels Ltd. and Welcome Heritage Hotels. Mr. Suresh Kumar’s leadership and contributions to the hotel industry were recognized globally, with a feature on CNN International's "Business Traveler" segment. After retiring from ITC in 2018, he founded KUE Management Services, a hospitality advisory firm, and is also a mentor and co-founder of ROSAKUE Hospitality, focusing on boutique lifestyle brands.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Suresh Kumar is the Chairman of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Stakeholders Relationship Committee and a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. He serves as a Director on the Board of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Ltd. and is on the Advisory Board of the School of Hospitality Management at AURO University. His expertise spans business strategy, hospitality management, and investment advisory, with a strong focus on maximizing profitability for entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Shivappa is a graduate in Commerce and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in finance from Bangalore University. He has about 39 years of post qualification experience and has worked extensively in the areas of finance. He has handled the finance department for more than 29 years. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Company in August 2017 and became Director (Finance) in February 2020. Prior to his joining in the Company, he had worked with Companies like Karnataka Oil Seeds Growers Federation Limited, Bengaluru, ROGCSU Limited etc.
Mr. Anand B. Hunnur holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Karnataka University and a diploma in Marketing & Sales Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai. With extensive experience in sales and marketing, he held key positions in various companies, including Regional Manager for Western India (2002-2005), Associate Vice President - Marketing (2006-2009), and Vice President - Marketing at Emerson Electric Power Generation of India (2009-2011). He also worked as Head of Sales at WEG Electric India before joining Kirloskar Electric Company Limited in 2011 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Hunnur was appointed Director of Sales in 2014 and became the Managing Director in 2017, a position he held until his resignation in April 2019 for personal reasons. He was associated with the Company as Principal Advisor to the Executive Chairman of the company from June 2019. He was appointed as Managing Director with effect from July 12, 2022 for a term of three years. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in driving business growth, improving operations, and achieving targets, with a focus on sales and marketing.
Mr. Ravi Ghai is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur and holds a Post Graduate degree in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai (1974). With over three decades of experience in corporate banking, risk compliance, and credit appraisal, he has had a distinguished career in banking. Starting his career at State Bank of India in 1974, Mr. Ravi Ghai worked in investment banking, loan syndications, and IPOs. He then spent 15 years at ANZ Grindlays Bank, gaining experience in corporate credit, risk management, and finance training. He later joined Oman International Bank as Country Manager for India, focusing on cleaning up a weak corporate loans portfolio, and finished his career with a senior role in Credit Risk Review at Arab National Bank, Riyadh.
Mr. Ravi Ghai's career is marked by notable achievements, including the identification of two frauds aimed at hiding losses, which went undetected by auditors. After retirement, he has worked as a trainer and consultant in finance and soft skills. Additionally, he mentors young adults in performing arts and communication skills, both privately and through the Times of India.
Mr. K.N. Shanth Kumar, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and is currently the Director of The Printers (Mysore) Private Limited, publishers of prominent newspapers such as Deccan Herald, Prajavani, Sudha, and Mayura. With over four decades of experience, he has been integral to the management of The Printers (Mysore) Private Limited since 1983 and has also served as the Editor of Deccan Herald and Prajavani. Mr. Shanth Kumar has held leadership roles in the media industry, including being the Chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations in 2004-05 and serving on the Executive Committee of the Indian Newspaper Society.
Since 2004, he has been a member of the Board of the Press Trust of India, where he is currently the Chairman. Additionally, he is the Founding Trustee and President of the Bangalore International Centre. His extensive career in media and publishing reflects his deep involvement in the industry and commitment to its growth. He is a member of the Audit committee of the Company.
Ms. Rukmini Kirloskar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley College, USA. After graduation, she worked as an accounts receivable analyst at iBasis in Burlington, MA. Ms. Rukmini Kirloskar later joined Ravindu Motors Private Limited, where she progressed from Marketing Manager to VP of Sales and Marketing over a span of four years. She also underwent a training program with Toyota aimed at the next generation of Dealer Principles.
In addition to her corporate roles, Ms. Rukmini Kirloskar serves as a director on the boards of several companies, leveraging her expertise in finance, marketing, and business management.
Dr. Pangal Ranganath Nayak, is a distinguished cardiologist with extensive qualifications, including an MD, DNB in General Medicine, and a Doctorate of Medicine in Cardiology. He is a Fellow associate of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) of Edinburgh, the Indian College of Cardiology, the Endovascular Society of India, and the Vascular Society of India. Currently practicing at Manipal Hospitals in Bangalore, Dr. P.R Nayak is a respected member of various medical societies, including the Cardiological Society of India and the Association of Physicians of India, where he actively contributes his expertise.
With a career spanning decades, Dr. P.R Nayak is recognized as an accomplished speaker and trainer, mentoring several trainees in the Dip NB (cardiology) program. He has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Hargobind Overseas Training Fellowship in 1991 and the Nightingales Award in 2004 for outstanding services in the field of cardiology. His expertise includes clinical cardiology and heart failure, evidence and clinical-based complex coronary. Dr. P.R Nayak’s ongoing commitment to the field is further reflected in his fellowship with the American College of Cardiology.
Mr. Mohammed Saad Bin Jung, is a former Indian cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1978 to 1984. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Nizam College, Osmania University, and is now a columnist, conservationist, and author. As a member of the Wildlife Advisory Board of Karnataka, he is deeply involved in wildlife conservation. Mr. Mohammed Saad Bin Jung runs several successful ventures, including "The Bandipur Cottage - Bush Betta" and "The Bison," a boutique wildlife camp near Nagarhole National Park. He also founded an angling camp featured in a BBC series, "The Accidental Angler."
In addition to his conservation efforts, Mr. Mohammed Saad Bin Jung has written three books focused on wildlife and adventure themes. He is also the founder of Africa Expeditions & Safari and the Buffer Conflict Resolution Trust of India. His work in wildlife awareness and local vocational training in Karnataka reflect his commitment to both conservation and community development. Mr. Mohammed Saad Bin Jung is a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee.
